Concepts
How the fallback chain works.
Every title and description is chosen by walking five tiers in order. The first tier with a value wins, and the panel always shows you which one it was.
Good to know
The chain runs on every render, so a change in a higher tier takes effect immediately. Nothing is copied down into lower tiers.
The five tiers
Tiers are checked top to bottom. A tier is skipped when its field is empty, and the first non-empty value is used.

Overriding a tier
To override a value for a single page, set it in the panel. To go back to the default, clear it.
1
Open the page in the Bricks builder and select the SEO tab.
2
Type a value into the field and save. That value now wins over the lower tiers.
3
Clear the field to hand control back to the next tier.
